Yosemite Valley

The heart of Yosemite, where towering granite cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and lush meadows create an unforgettable landscape.

When I visited Yosemite, I hopped on a bike to explore the Valley Floor. It was a perfect day. I had an unobstructed view of my favorite celebrities—Yosemite Falls, Cathedral Rock, Three Brothers, Sentinel Rock, and El Capitan. I imagine it’s how kids feel when they see Cinderella Castle at Disney for the first time.

It was a slow day, full of stops to take pictures—but even more so, to take it all in. My heart felt like it was overflowing. It was just so grateful. Grateful that I grew up rock climbing, allowing me to appreciate El Capitan even more. Grateful that I took a chance on moving to California. Grateful that I pursued a daydream. Grateful for every moment, good and bad, that led me to this genuinely magical place.

I feel it every time I go to Yosemite, and I hope that feeling never fades. Even just looking at these pictures brings it back. I hope they spark something in you, too.

Yosemite has a way of making you pause, breathe, and feel grateful for the journey. If you've been, you know the magic. If you haven't, let this be your sign to go. What’s your favorite national park memory? Share it in the comments!
